Whilst this may of occured, this is not an idea that came about during the Scientifc Revolution, it was actually a belief that had existed for centuries and gave many monarchs the justification needed to rule over their subjects. The Enlightenment, beyond scientific discoveries and discussion also pushed people to question the things that they accepted, and challenged them to change their way of thought.
