How were van eyck and durer similar?

Van Eyck and Durer similar with style of painting:

Van Eyck and Albert Durer(or Durer) both were renowned and famous painters in their style of painting. Van Eyck is known for its Netherlandish oil paintings and also named as a gothic painter.

Whereas, Albert Durer was painter and writer and was considered as extremely great german artist.

They both appreciate good art as when Durer first saw the oil painting of Eyck he was astonished and he referred it as the most precious painting.
