Explanation:

Pinckney graduated as a lawyer in 1779. During the American Revolutionary War he was forced to be a British prisoner of war. From 1784 to 1787 he was a member of the Confederate Congress, where he strongly advocated the adoption of a new constitution. At the 1787 Constitutional Convention, Pinckney, representing South Carolina, presented a detailed constitutional plan known as the Pinckney Plan.
