In 1810, mexican priest miguel hidalgo led an
uprising of american indians and mestizos
fighting for independence from spain. creoles
also supported hidalgo's struggle at first. why did
they then turn against it?
a. they insisted on greater land redistribution to
the american indians and mestizos.
