The Third Estate was the lowest political class in the French Kingdom and therefore had fewer rights than the First and Second Estate.

The Third Estate was made up of commoners in the rural and urban areas.

The life of a member of the Third Estate would be such that:

People in the Third Estate suffered a lot in the French Kingdom which was why they were the chief supporters of the French Revolution which promised them rights.

In conclusion, the Third Estate was a pretty hard estate to be in and so led to many trying to get out through the French Revolution.

Second Estate as well as the first estate was a privileged class. Before there were no concepts of political and civic rights, but no doubt the second estate had political rights whereas the third estate had no political rights. The third estate voted in 1789 (France) just because the king Louis XVI (who was well aware of economic crisis of his kingdom) called for General estates. But even then (in General estates) the third estate was unprivileged.
