What does the author see as the problems facing African-Americans?

What author sees that African-Americans are facing is that they are not getting treated like a normal person, like back then black people were slaves, and the whites were there owners, that does not seem fair because they are doing all the work, while the owneres just boss them around and tell them what to do. This makes me very upset, because I am black.
