As a result of the low supply and increase in the price of white slaves at that time, due to the outbreak of diseases, Europeans, both the England colonies and American colonies resorted to African slaves because they were affordable.

Africans were exceptional. They had expertise in agriculture and knew how to plant and uniquely grow crops. African slaves were immune to diseases. African slaves as laborers were efficient. The Europeans were impressed with how much crops they harvested and they soon expanded the plantations.
