Prior to the War of 1812, Tecumseh urged the Choctaw and Chickasaw Indians to join the battle against the Americans. However, they did not. Tecumseh and the Shawnee Indians were defeated by troops led by William Henry Harrison at the Battle of Tippecanoe. Do you believe that the Choctaw and Chickasaw refusal to join the Shawnee was one of the causes of the War of 1812, or are these events correlated? Provide your reasoning.
