How did the South’s defeat at the Battle of Gettysburg affect the war?

South's defeat at the Battle of Gettysburg significantly affected the American civil war. It caused casualties of thousand of soldier's lives and damages of property. There was an only way to got rid of this to give up on north to be again normal for south.

Explanation:

Battle of Gettysburg was happened in the year of 1863. It occurred in between north and south Virginia. South defeated in the battle. It was a major turning point for American civil war. In this war severe casualties took place in the form of injury, death and damage of lives and property.

The then president Lee wanted to invade in North Virginia but failed to do it. So, there was only one way to left to got rid of this mishap i.e. to give up the desire of invasion of north by the south.
