Why did the egyptians call their king pharaoh?

The correct answer is C. Basically, it was considered for the Pharaoh to be a deity, like a half man half god. Because of this they weren't allowed to mention them so they referred to the palace instead where the Pharaoh ruled. The title Pharaoh means something like the great house, and it's great because the man-god is inside ruling over the people.
