I think the conquistadors had a arrogant or superior attitude toward the Aztec because the conquistadors were living in a much more advanced world. Why advanced, well the conquistadors thought they were more advanced and better because they had clothes, ships, advanced weapons. I have a perfect example of why the conquistadors thought all this. A Mexican quote says "le vendieron espejitos" meaning, they sold them mirrors, this goes perfect because the conquistadors sold simple mirrors to the natives for lots of gold.
