Unrest might have continued in much of the country because so many people supported the Communists.
People in urban areas would probably have been unhappy, but people in the countryside would have benefited.
European influence in China might have begun to diminish because nationalism would have lost its hold.
The Republic of China probably would be much smaller, and the People’s Republic of China would be larger.
