The two Koreas have both stark contrasts and uprising similarities. North Korea has a self-proclaimed communist government, though it is really authoritarian, while the South Korean government has a Democratic system. Likewise, the North is supported by the Chinese and the South is backed by the US. The South also has a free market while the North has an economy strictly controlled by government. People in both countries speak Korean, though dialects can be very different and cuisine in the countries are composed of mostly the same dishes though there are some variations.
