Why did George Washington want native Americans to assimilate

President washington just wanted a only native american policy explaining that the goverment "the goverment of the united states stay determined in their Administration  of the indian affairs that shall be directed by the great principles in justice and humanity" his only desire of the native americans was to protect any american citizens from getting into war.
