Palmer had over 1,000 people arrested during the Red Scare from 1919-1920. Many of these people did not receive due process of the law and some were even deported without trial. These actions go against the American Constitution. But is it justified to do this in extreme circumstances where there is suspected communism? Or, if this was taking place today, (example: doing this to people with possible ties to ISIS)? Explain and justify your answer.
