The outcome of the first battle of bull run?

The first battle of bull run was one of the earliest important battles of the Civil War in America that gave Confederate victory with nearly 5,000 casualties both sides, it was seen that they were not prepared for this battle when it happened, it was fought on July 21, 1861, near Washington D.C.  

on april 6, 1917, the u.s. joined its allies--britain, france, and russia--to fight in world war i. under the command of major general john j. pershing, more than 2 million u.s. soldiers fought on battlefields in france.
