The demand for industrial resources like rubber during the Industrial Revolution increased the  European imperialism because they had to constantly supply of raw materials to the beaming industrial  technology capacity.

Since the Europeans  were more advanced in technology far ahead than many countries,  especially in terms of weapons, millitary aid and transportation, they were able to defeat and colonize the weaker and less developed countries like the  Asians and Africans in order to covert their cheaper raw materials for steady supply to their booming Industries.
