“CREEP” refers to Nixon’s Committee to Re-Elect the President, whose members were caught breaking into the Democratic National Committee’s Watergate headquarters. This led to an investigation that exposed the abuse of power by  Nixon´s administration and became known as the Watergate Scandal.
