PLS HELP...these are my last points. how is checks and balances effecting the policy making system? is it slowing it down or is it benefiting it?

What was the main reason why the grange started pressuring state governments about farming issues? the railroads charged small farms lower rates than large operations. the grange was not allowed to open up cooperative farm businesses. life for farmers was not improving as they continued to go into debt. farming was becoming less important to the nation’s food supply.
