What's an abolitionist? What are differences and similarities in the tactics to end slavery between Frederick Douglass and Harriet Tubman?

~ An abolitionist is a person who supported the abolition of slavery in the United States.

~ Both were slaves, but escaped to freedom. Harriet Tubman helped construct the Underground Railroad to help other slaves escape to freedom in Canada. Fredrick Douglass escaped from slavery in Maryland, he became a national leader of the abolitionist movement.  ( Either in Massachusetts or New York, can't remember, probably something to google ).
