He also put of an argument, that tried to balance equality and inequalities that exist among men, where he sought to find means in which giverment can over turn the issue of inequalities, hence, he argued for EQUALITY UNDER THE LAW.

2. Voltaire, whose real name is François-Marie Arouet, was also popular for his philosophical works, known for works against tyranny, bigotry and cruelty of government. According to Voltaire, the main purpose of government is to protect the liberties of the people, and these includes freedom of speech and freedom to exercise religion in which individual wants, and to achieve fairness in the affiars of the government without being bias, Government should be separated from state. Hence, he believed in FREEDOM OF SPEECH.

He also CALLED FOR FREEDOM OF RELIGION, as one of the ways in which people can have liberties.

And he also wanted to SEPARATE STATE FROM THE CHURCH, as this will remove bias from the government activities.
