In my opinion the invention that was more important was the magnetic compass.

The reason why the magnetic compass was more important was because it helped sailors in their water navigation. It helped the sailors in navigation to known what direction to take.

Even if the clouds were against the use of astronomical directions, the compass could still be used.

In conclusion the magnetic compass was a more important invention because regardless of the weather, it could still be used by the sailors.

European exploration began during 15th and 16 the century when European explorers voyaged different places to find lands and wealth. The navigation was possible because of the astrolabe to explore in an accurate way. Later with the arrival of a magnetic compass, European explorers travelled further with new advance navigation tool.
