The term absolute monarchy refers to the rule of a king or queen. In this form of rule, the monarch holds the highest authority and power among all. The king or the queen is not restricted  by any law or legislature.

Parliamentary form of government is practiced in Spain and France. Formerly, both these countries were monarchical. Today,Spain has a constitutional monarchy with moderate powers while France have completely eradicated monarchy.
