What are TWO ways Philip II prepared Alexander?

Phillip II developed the artillery and arms, building an army with resilience and ability which helped his son Alexander in his conquests.

He was made Commander in the army from a very young age which prepared him with the skills needed for combat and also as a leader.

Phillip II was the king of Macedonia who took great pains in enlarging his empire. His son Alexander the Great was to succeed him after his death, which led to the creation of one of the largest empires in the world.

Alexander the Great was made a commander in the army even from a young age. This experience left him with good insight and knowledge of leadership and the skills needed to manage an army. Phillip II also established a fierce army, resilient, and able to fight in any scenario which greatly helped in Alexander's future conquests.
