puritans we all know as were a relgion to purify the cahtlic church some of there practices were good and they did ways some relgions couldnbt but some ways wern't that good like trying to turn people into their relgion which did spark alot of mass hate to them overall there netrual and did have a semi good cause.

they were citizens but they could not vote and they did could not get involved into a political situation during that time.
