Presidents like Rutherford B. Hayes and Ulysses S. grant allowed corruption into Congress and the White House and did nothing about big business, as long as the economy was growing after the wake of The Civil War. Similarities today include Republican presidents, tax cuts for big businesses in corona virus stimulus and and mild corruption. Differences are just coming out of a war and being in massive debt.
