What did Genghis Khan want to accomplish by dividing his empire between his four sons? He wanted to guarantee each son had an equal share of the empire. He wanted to make daily governing easier and let his sons share power. He wanted to make sure one of his sons was selected to be the Great Khan. He wanted to see which son was the strongest and most capable ruler.
