So basically I am writing a story about A African boys perspective of reconstruction. Recently, they have been attacked by the Ku Klux Klan, who set their shelter on fire and there was a big massacre. What do they do now, should they evacuate, what belongings do Freedmen usually have, where should they go? Also how should I write what the African Americans buried the dead bodies, did they get a proper burial, or is that unrealistic?
