British troops were usually housed in the colonist's homes, which the colonists were not happy with. They felt as if it was an invasion of privacy and they should have a say in what they do.

The Quartering Act was passed in 1765 and made it so the colonists had to house the British troops if needed, they could not get a say in it. This also meant that the colonists were responsible for feeding and supplying British soldiers, which angered the colonists even more.
