What was the process of slave trade?

the trans-atlantic slave trade: (triangular trade is involved as well) a three-way trade between the colonies, the islands of the carribean, and africa. 1st leg- NE> fish, lumber, and etc to CI. the fish, lumber and other goods were traded for sugar and molasses which were shipped back to NE. there, they used sugar and molasses to make rum. 2nd leg-NE> rum, guns, and etc to West africa. there, the goods were traded for slaves. the slaves were sent to NE and the CI. then, they bought more molasses, and the cycle started all over again.
