Your task is to write a fictional newspaper story assuming that the Declaration of Independence was never written. Assume that the United States does not exist, as it is still a British colony. Imagine that the same issues that the colonists experienced in the late 1700s are still happening today! Your assignment is to choose two of the grievances to incorporate into a story as if they were still occurring. Your story should show the impact that this has on the citizens today. Be creative! (I picked Unfair taxes and No trials by jury)
