(Counts 20% of of lesson grade.)
The Native Americans invited settlers onto their land. The settlers tricked the natives out of
their land and forced them to move eastward. There, other settlers repeated the trickery.
The settlers and Native Americans fought for a while and then made peace. The peace
lasted for a time until the settlers demanded that the Native Americans leave.
As the number of settlers grew, misunderstandings led to disagreements and then fights. To
survive, the Native Americans moved westward. New settlers moved farther westward and
the cycle was renewed.
