9 Thermidor Explanation: Robespierre was an interesting person, mad French Dictator who used to not believe in the death penalty, but ended up killing many people. 9 Thermidor happened when he executed so many people that the survivors despised him and arrested his whole faction (Jacobins). During this arrest, many tried to k*ll themselves and bloodily failed before being executed.
