What was the United State’s motivation for acquiring Hawaii?

3 Motives of of the United States to Aquire Hawaii:

The United States wanted to aquire Hawaii because the island was a portway to China, East India, and Asia.

1. Hawaii has also has Naval bases that the USA wanted to use for war to defeat another country.

2. There were a lot of resources in Hawaii. Mainly tropical fruits like pineapple and sugar. This was then resulted to the Sugar Trade.

3. Hawaii can become a portway to other countries. They used this advantage to trade with the Far East (Asian Countries).
