Compare and Contrast the Foraker Act for Puerto Rico and the Platt Amendment for Cuba.

The Foraker Act was passes for  Puerto Rico and gives the president of U.S, the power to appoint Puerto Rico's governor and members of the upper house of the legislature.

The Amendment for Cuba entails the Teller Amendment and the Platt Amendment.

The Teller Amendment stated that U.S. does not have intention of taking over any part of Cuba.The Platt Amendment states that Cuba add to its new constitution, commands Cuba to stay out of debt and gives the US right to intervene in the country matters.
