Eating insects was common back then and people did not think it was a strange thing to do.
What changed? Why did people stop eating insects
in most places? Scientists say over time people
stopped thinking about insects as food, and started
to think about them in a different way. People saw
that insects destroyed crops, and they knew that
insects could spread disease. Many people were no
longer interested in eating something that caused
so much trouble.
