Donald trump's move in the courts to not count undocumented workers and illegal aliens is similar to the three-fifths compromise. The three-fifths compromise aimed to only count three-fifths of the slave population. This means that the three-fifths compromise aimed to not count the American population as a whole and only some of it. This is similar to what Donald Trump is trying to achieve. Because these undocumented workers and illegal aliens are still on American soil, they are part of America's population. However, by not counting them in the census they are excluded from the population. Donald Trump does not have a valid argument for discounting the representation of these people. Because these people are still technically apart of America's population as a whole, regardless if they are legal, they should be counted as such. I believe Trump's efforts to do so would not stand a chance in the current supreme-court. Because of the constitutional amendments and the current make-up of the supreme court, Trump would have a hard time trying to push this.
