Why do you think the colonists living on the East Coast of the
North American continent decided to go to war?

The colonists living in cities on the east coast had many factories and commerce. These were the places that were getting the most affected in the British taxation. The British taxed paper, tea, paint, and much more goods, hurting the east coast businesses that were selling those. That's why many people on the east coast were fed up with the British and wanted war.
