The Dust Bowl happened because of the climatic change. The reason for the Dust Bowl was the unrestricted farming after World war I. The Great Depression created difficulty for the people to sell wheat because of the stock exchange, which crushed.

Farmers during the depression faced many problems due to the fall of the economy. Farmers were facing a price fall in the farm product. Unable to pay back the loans, banks took away properties and lands of the farmers.
