   From 1450 to 1750 global trade was big, this allowed people to send goods and textiles. During this time period extensive overseas exploration emerged as a powerful factor in European culture and was the beginning of globalization. Countries were counting on each other more than ever for their tradable goods.

   During all this trade the people that were sailing the ships were risking their lives to get people the goods that they wanted and needed. Also, they were getting very poor pay, only 10 dollars a month. For example, the sailors only consumed about 3,000 calories a day, they get these calories from salted beef and pork (but the mixed flour with fat and served it when rations got low), wine and hard liquor and lack of clean water that caused dehydration, lastly, they ate dried beans, peas, and rice. Sailors were also surrounded by sickness and filth, they only had one pair of clothes and they rarely get washed. The lack of fresh air at the bottom of the ship also caused monoxide poisoning, so they slept in hammocks on the deck of the ship.

   There are many ways that the age of exploration has impacted the years that followed and the way we live are lives today. For example, after this time period many people still traded goods with other countries and depended on trade. Also, some countries were now able to have pants and animals that they had never seen or had before. This allowed people to have bigger variety of goods and animal variety.

   The age of exploration allowed countries to connect and to help each other get the things that they needed and wanted, it also allowed them to form a kind of trust between the countries. Lastly this lets people to find new things and share them with other people. They were able to sell them and then provide for their families.
