Compare/Contrast the European Explorers who explored the areas in and around Arkansas. Primarily you will discuss de Soto, LaSalle, Tonty, though anyone from either France of Spain is fair game. How did each nation approach the concept of exploring and settling in this area? What were their methods in how they treated people, both their own people and the natives who inhabited the area at that time? Which do you think was most effective overall? Why?
