Pilgrims-people who make a journey for religious and/or civic purposes. Are there places in our local area that people visit in order to honor or remember well-known events that happened there? On the other hand, some people visit the sites of lesser-known events that did not necessarily change history. These types of sites may be known primarily to local residents. Choose a site. What happened there? What were the effects of these events? Why is the site significant? Why do people visit the site? Has it been preserved to look much as it looked when the event took place? Have you visited the site? Why? Did it have an effect on you? Please respond in one complete paragraph with specific details
