It started thousands of years ago when the first Egyptian was mummified by the natural sand found in the Sahara desert. Mummification is a method of preservation of a dead body. By performing this procedure, it assists the deceased to reach the Afterworld. There are three main methods of mummification, each depending of the wealth of the deceased. After around forty to sixty days, depending of the size of the body, the Natron is removed, and bathed with spices, herbs, and perfumes. After the eyeballs of the deceased are removed and replaced with glass ones. The torso is also stuffed with linen, sawdust, ash, or salt.
