how did the colonists react to the taxes again in The Stamp Act [1765]

We reacted to it as a violation of our natural rights. Because we had no representation in the Parliament of London we felt we did not have to pay these taxes. Us Colonists came up we slogans such as "No taxation without representation." Also, in response to the Stamp Act, we formed militias like the Sons Of Liberty.
