Here's the Prompt:
Describe the causes and consequences of conflict between settlers and American Indians in early Washington history. Use research to provide evidence that will inform the reader.

They hoped to transform the tribes people into civilized Christians through their daily contacts. The Native Americans resented and resisted the colonists' attempts to change them. Their refusal to conform to European culture angered the colonists and hostilities soon broke out between the two groups. Increased problems because as the colonist population grew the Native americans go pushed farther away to make room for new people and made natives feel anger towards colonists for taking so much of their land and not getting anything in return.
