Why did the Allies decide on a Europe First approach to fighting WII, after the Us entered the war?

most likely becuase they wanted to eliminate german occupation of europe. also a major reason is becuase the germans would not know where the allies were strategizing to attack next, and their strategy won them the war in the end, resulting in hitler's death.
