Why did Comanche Chief Muk-Wah-Ruh NOT agree to release more hostages? * He wanted more leverage (power) for negotiations.
He argued that the hostages belonged to the Comanche tribe.
He didn't have the power nor authority to tell other Comanche bands what to do.
