In Miranda vs. Arizona (1966), Miranda was arrested, but his lawyers argued that Miranda was not told his rights (such as had the right to an attorney or to remain silent). Because of this case, what do police officers now have to do when arresting someone? * Police can keep you from having an attorney
Police can question anyone they want at anytime
Police must read you your "Miranda Rights" informing you that you have a right to remain silent, a right to a lawyer, etc.
