  The Mongolian empire, the greatest contiguous country empire in history, started to emerge during the High Middle Age of Europe. The Mongolian Empire started in the steppes of central Asia and lasted in the 13th and 14th centuries. The largest portion included all the modern countries of Mongolia, China, portions of Burma, Romania, Pakistan, Siberia and the Ukraine, and most or much of Russia, as well as Belarus, Cilicia, Anatolia, Georgia, Armenia, Persia, Syria, Iraq and Central Asia. Many other countries have been the Mongol Empire's tributary states                                                                                                                         Kublai Khan was the sixth Yuan dynasty emperor (1206-1368) (1260-94). In 1279 he invaded China and became China's first Yuan emperor. The emergence of "dual concept" political philosophy has been partly his responsibility. He is the only means of trade as a dictator of paper currency.                                                                                        Kublai Khan was Genghis Khan's grandson and in the thirteenth century China the founding father of the Yuan Dynasty. In 1278 he defeated the Song Dynasty in Southern China and was the first Mongolian to rule over China. Kublai (also written Kubla or Khubilai) has relegated the lowest classes of Chinese subjects to major positions over the Chinese authorities and has even appointed aliens, including Venetian adventurer Marco Polo. His Mongol dynsty weakened at the end of his rule after a failure of expeditions against Japan and Java. After his death, the Chinese completely overthrowed him.
