As compared with other industrialized countries, why does the united states supply fewer services for low-income families?

The United States supplies fewer services for low-income families because the United States has a weaker welfare state due to our political system, history, and culture. Unlike more socialist states in Western Europe, the United States has weaker social welfare programs to support the poor.
